Odzun is a historic village situated on a plateau above the left bank of the Debed river, surrounded by flower meadows and avenues of trees. It is famous for the 5-7th century Odzun church, one of the finest Armenian basilicas. After visiting the church, you will head to a mysterious place called Odzi Port, which is translated as the “snake’s navel”. This is a unique area right near the monastery that is said to have healing waters. There is a legend behind it which you will hear from all locals. You can have rest in the rest zone or simply in the fields and enjoy the harmony of nature.
